There are two main pathways to becoming a Solutions Partner with certified software and both pathways require your solution to demonstrate marketplace readiness, interoperability with the Microsoft Cloud, customer success, and specific technical criteria. Certified software designations are offered at the solution level and if your software solution solves challenges for multiple solution areas and/or industries and is interoperable with different Microsoft products and services then you can attain multiple certified software designations with a single solution.

Checks and validations

To become a Solutions Partner with certified software for solution areas, you must meet all the eligibility requirements and checks.

All solution areas have the option to fulfill the customer satisfaction requirements through the
submission of customer case studies and associated requirements.
The partner ISV solution must meet at least one of the solution areas, and the solution plays as described under the checklist.

  1. Azure Solutions
  2. Security Solutions
  3. Business Applications Solutions
  4. Modern Work Solutions

The ISV partner must provide the details of the solution and customer case study in their submission.

Each software solution is validated by a technical review before it becomes certified.  Technology Specific Requirements are categorized according to the Azure services as follows:

  1. Azure Data Services
  2. Azure AI or Machine Learning Services
  3. Azure Compute Services
  4. Azure Container Services
  5. Azure Integration Services
  6. Azure Control Plane Services

The ISV partner must ensure their solution meets specific technical requirements from any one of the above categories.

For the ISV solution to be successfully certified, it must belong to one of the validation criteria patterns:

  3. Application Industry Fabric
  4. Application Industry Foundational Model
